Starting from September 1, Russia has introduced new state fees for migrants due to the increase in migration flows, APA reports, citing the Russian media.
According to the report law signed by President Vladimir Putin, from September 1, a fee of 500 rubles is applied for the registration of migrants at their place of residence, and 1,000 rubles for the extension of temporary stay. The registration fee for foreign citizens at their place of residence has been increased from 420 rubles to 1,000 rubles.
It is noted that these measures will not only bring 17 billion rubles to the state budget, but also strengthen control over migrants and help reduce the risks of illegal migration.
