Strategic nuclear force drills covering land, sea, and air components were conducted under the leadership of Russian President Vladimir Putin, APA’s Moscow bureau reports.
According to the Kremlin press service, the Russian military used the “Yars” mobile ground-based missile system at the Plesetsk Cosmodrome, the “Bryansk” submarine in the Barents Sea, and Tu-95 strategic bombers during the exercises.
Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov briefed President Putin on the drills.
Vladimir Putin emphasized that the exercises were planned in advance.
