The Russian Federation Council has appointed Igor Krasnov as the Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation, APA's Moscow correspondent reports.
The decision was made unanimously.
It should be noted that Igor Krasnov has served as the Prosecutor General of Russia since 2020. He will be replaced in this position by Alexander Gutsan, the President's Plenipotentiary Representative for the North-West Federal District. The Federation Council will consider his appointment later.
