Specialists from Russia’s Rosatom corporation have completed the scheduled maintenance work at the Armenian nuclear power plant (NPP) ahead of schedule, the Armenian media reported, citing the plant’s press service, APA reports.
According to the information, the plant reached full capacity three days earlier than planned.
‘Currently, the unit is operating at 100% thermal capacity (440 MW) and ensures stable, uninterrupted electricity production,’ the plant’s press service stated.
The Armenian NPP is one of the country’s main sources of electricity. A single unit operates there with a first-generation VVER-440 reactor, and its fuel is supplied by Rosatom.
