Road accident in Armenia’s Lori Province left 3 dead, including minor

A tragic road accident took place Thursday in Lori Province of Armenia, APA reports citing shamshyan.com.

At around 7:20 pm, a truck and a car collided on the Vanadzor-Alaverdi motorway.

One person died on the spot, and two others—in critical condition—were taken to the Vanadzor Medical Center. But one of the injured died on the way without regaining consciousness.

As a result of the collision, the car had crashed into the concrete retaining walls installed on the roadside, two of them were broken, and the car fell from about 4 meters and ended up on the bank of the Debed river—hitting a tree.

A criminal case has been opened into this road accident.

While the investigative team was inspecting the scene, the police received a report from the Vanadzor Medical Center that the other injured also had died without regaining consciousness.

The police and the investigative department are finding out the identity of the drivers and the deceased. According to shamshyan.com, the deceased are Yerevan residents Nare Matevosyan, 18, Milena Partikyan, 15, and Argishti Manukyan, 20, and the truck driver is David Omilashvili, 58.
