The situation in the "special military operation" zone is developing favorably for the Russian troops, said Russian President Vladimir Putin during a meeting with servicemen in the hospital, APA's Moscow bureau reports.
According to him, Russian troops are advancing in all directions in the special military operation zone.
Putin stressed that Russia currently ensures its long-term security in the special operation zone.
Putin also spoke about the besieged Ukrainian servicemen. He noted that Ukrainian servicemen are surrounded in Kupyansk and Krasnoarmeysk.
He said that the Ukrainian political leadership must decide the fate of its besieged citizens:
"Kyiv will have the opportunity to decide on the fate of the besieged Ukrainian Armed Forces troops, just as they once did in Azovstal."
He also said that the Russian military is ready to allow foreign journalists to enter the besieged areas of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Krasnoarmeysk and Kupyansk.
