Russian President Vladimir Putin has commented on the eavesdropping of a phone conversation between U.S. President’s special representative Steve Witkoff and his aide, Yury Ushakov, APA’s Moscow bureau reports.
At a press conference following his visit to Kyrgyzstan, Putin stated that the leak of the phone conversation was a crime.
“In general, it is not allowed to listen in; leaking phone conversations is a crime,” the Russian President emphasized.
Note that Bloomberg, which published the transcript of the Witkoff–Ushakov phone call, did not disclose how it obtained the information. Other media outlets have not confirmed the published transcript.
