Russian President Vladimir Putin has relieved Alexei Filatov of his duties as Head of the Presidential Directorate for Border Cooperation, APA’s Moscow bureau reports.
The relevant document has been published on the official legal information portal.
“Alexei Yevgenyevich Filatov is to be relieved of his duties as Head of the Directorate for Border Cooperation under the President,” the document states.
Note that in August 2025, Putin signed a decree on the abolition of the Directorate for Interregional and Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries under the President and the Directorate for Border Cooperation under the President, and on the establishment of the Directorate for Strategic Partnership and Cooperation under the President.
