Russian President Vladimir Putin stressed on Tuesday that additional Western sanctions against his country would also hurt the European Union due to the economies in the region being linked in chains, APA reports citing Teletrader.
During a press conference with his Belarusian counterpart Aleksandr Lukashenko, Putin estimated that the medium and long-term risks related to the impact of sanctions against the Russian economy might grow, however adding the country's financial system is currently stable.
Commenting further on sanctions, Putin claimed that the "blitzkrieg" the West was counting on didn't happen.
