"After completion of its function, the CSTO contingent will be removed from the territory of Kazakstan," said Russian President Vladimir Putin while delivering a speech at the extraordinary session of the CSTO Collective Security Council, APA reports.
He added that the peacekeeping contingent will stay in Kazakhstan as long as needed.
"I am sure that the situation in Kazakhstan will be stabilized soon. Incidents in Kazakhstan are neither the first nor the last example of external interferences," said Vladimir Putin.
