The RIA news agency has posted a short video clip of Russian president Vladimir Putin speaking at a meeting of Russia’s security council. In it Putin claims that Ukraine has been trying to disrupt the presidential voting process in Russia and to disrupt people in the border regions with “a number of criminal armed actions", APA reports citing The Guardian.
On Thursday, Ukraine claimed that three pro-Ukrainian battalions made up of recruits from Russia had launched a fresh incursion into southern Russia. Putin said the attempts to break into Russia did not succeed. He said the acts would not go unpunished.
