Armenia’s foreign debt has increased due to arms purchases, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said in response to the opposition during his speech on the draft budget in parliament, APA reports, citing Armenian media.
“They criticize us, asking why the debt has increased to 8 billion dollars and what we have done with these funds. I didn’t want to say, but I will: we bought weapons. With credit funds? Yes, with credit funds, because we immediately needed a lot of weapons,” he emphasized.
