Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov warned on Saturday that the global energy market could be significantly moved by a possible embargo on Russian oil, APA reports citing Teletrader.
"This is an issue we have been watching very closely. Of course, this situation could alter international energy markets dramatically, this can't but have quite serious consequences," Peskov told reporters.
While Western countries imposed economic sanctions on Russia over its invasion on Ukraine, the country's energy sector has so far been excluded from the measures. However, Moody's latest outlook showed that possible restrictions could shock the European oil and gas markets if new restrictions are introduced.
