Russia's position on Ukraine has not changed following the Alaska summit, said Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, APA's Moscow bureau reports.
He said he was surprised to learn today that CNN reported the possible postponement of the Putin-Trump meeting.
"Because after my conversation with Rubio yesterday, I read that American officials have concluded that Russia's position has remained virtually unchanged since then and still falls within its initial maximalist demands. The dishonesty of some Western media is well known to everyone. CNN is no exception. They do not engage in serious analytical work. I would like to officially confirm that Russia has not changed its position compared to the agreements reached during the lengthy negotiations between Putin and Trump in Alaska. These agreements are based on the understandings reached at that time," Lavrov emphasized.
