Republican Party leading in Yerevan City Council elections

The ruling Republican Party of Armenia has secured 60.09% of the votes, Prosperous Armenia 18.31%, Barev Yerevan bloc 8.44%, Armenian National Congress 4.55%, ARFD 4.11%, Orinats Yerkir 3.78%, Arakelutyun 0.73%. Spokesman for Barev Yerevan bloc of parties David Sanasaryan said that there are numerous violations in the campaign for the May 5. Sanasaryan noted that he had received a signal that the Republican Party of Armenia and the Prosperous Armenia Party had already started distributing election bribes. "In particular, yesterday the RPA provided the voters of Ajapnyak community with 10,000 AMD each, and today the citizens expect bribes from the PAP", he said.
