MP: Russia may launch pre-emptive strike on UK if threatened

If Russia faces a threat, it may launch a pre-emptive strike on the territory of the United Kingdom, Andrey Kolesnik, a member of the State Duma Defense Committee, said in an interview with NEWS.ru, APA reports.

He stated that Russia has every capability to deliver a swift and crushing response.

Kolesnik recalled that Moscow has repeatedly responded to those who tried to test its strength.

“If Britain uses force against Russia, the Russian Federation will respond with force, and it will do so in accordance with the laws of wartime. The response will not be delayed for long—perhaps even pre-emptive—since our missiles are faster. Russia will by no means allow itself to be harmed, so the British should be concerned,” the Russian parliamentarian emphasized.
