Trump’s plan is a good basis for working on the resolution of the Ukraine conflict, said Kremlin official Dmitry Peskov, APA’s Moscow bureau reports.
Note that Trump’s plan, initially published in the Western media, consisted of 28 points. After the provisions of the plan were leaked to the public, it was sharply criticized by Ukraine and Europe. Following negotiations in Geneva between Washington and Kyiv officials, it was reported that Trump’s plan was reduced from 28 points to 19 points, with provisions regarding Ukraine’s NATO membership, the size of the Ukrainian army, and Ukrainian territory being removed.
The official Moscow stated that Trump’s plan has not been officially presented to Russia. It was reported that the plan was submitted to Moscow through unofficial channels. Nevertheless, Russia declared that Trump’s plan serves as a basis for peace in Ukraine.
