The next meeting of the Chiefs of Staff Committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) was held in Moscow, APA reports citing RIA Novosti.
Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijani Army, Colonel General Karim Valiyev also participated in the meeting.
Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Russia Valery Gerasimov spoke at the meeting. He delivered speech with suggestions on holding discussions on the current military-political situation both in the border countries and at the global level, as well as on the prospects of cooperation of the CIS countries in the field of production of military products, as well as on the organization of joint exercises to test the combat capability of the troops in desert conditions.
