"Spokesman for the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov has already commented on [Delyagin's statements], of course, we agree with this assessment. I can add on my own behalf that we consider such statements completely unacceptable and irresponsible. "This statement does not reflect the official position of the Russian leadership, which aimed at building allied relations and strategic partnership with Baku. We are confident that the leadership of the State Duma will also assess such provocative statements," she stated.

It was noted that Delyagin's statements on Azerbaijan do not correspond to Moscow's position.
