Lukashenko makes first-ever official visit to Algeria in 30 years of diplomatic ties -PHOTO

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko paid an official visit to Algeria today, Minsk-Novosti agency writes, citing the press service of the Belarusian leader, APA reports.

The visit took place at the invitation of Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune.

According to the information, this will be the first visit at the highest level in the 30-year history of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Prior to the visit, a large-scale business forum and ministerial-level negotiations were held in Algeria.

It is reported that the main topic of the negotiations will be the deepening of trade and economic cooperation. The parties plan to discuss specific projects in the agro-industrial complex, equipment supplies, and cooperation in the industrial, medical, and educational sectors. As a result of the visit, several bilateral documents are expected to be signed.

Note that Lukashenko previously visited Oman.
