A Boeing 777-39L(ER) aircraft belonging to Air China, operating on the London-Beijing route, made an emergency landing at Nizhnevartovsk airport in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug at 06:23 Moscow time, APA reports, citing the Ural Transport Prosecutor’s Office.
According to the information, there were 311 passengers on board. Due to a malfunction in one of the engines, the aircraft landed using only the other engine. The pilots did not request assistance from emergency services (ambulance, fire brigade, etc.) during the landing.
It was stated that the aircraft landed successfully and the safety of the passengers was ensured.
