Russia would be pleased to see Armenian performers at the “Intervision” international song contest to be held in Moscow on September 20, said Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, APA reports, citing Sputnik Armenia.
“Our Armenian friends knew well that the contest was taking place, and the issue of why representatives of Armenian culture are not among the participants is not up to us. We would be happy to see everyone, including our Armenian friends,” Lavrov said.
According to the Russian Foreign Minister, there is great interest in this project, and together with Russia, the number of participating countries is 23.
According to Sputnik Armenia, Armenia has still not confirmed its participation in “Intervision.”
Note that some time ago, the organizers of the event announced that Azerbaijan would not participate in the “Intervision” contest.
