The expansion of the North Atlantic Alliance, despite all the promises made by the bloc during the Soviet era, "has not stopped for a minute," said Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov during his speech at the International Conference on Eurasian Security in Minsk, APA's Moscow bureau reports.
He noted that "despite the promises made to the Soviet leaders not to move even a centimeter eastward, NATO's expansion has not stopped for a minute. Moreover, this is being done in violation of the highest level commitments within the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe not to strengthen one's security at the expense of others and not to strive for regional and, of course, global dominance."
