Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said he did not invite US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken to a joint photo session on the sidelines of the G20 Foreign Ministers meeting in Indonesia, APA's Moscow correspondent reports.
“As for meetings with me, statements that they would not be photographed with me: I did not invite anyone to be photographed. And he didn’t invite anyone at all. I was invited by Indonesia. How Indonesia invited the President, Putin, to the summit, which will be in November,” reports TASS Lavrov’s words on the results of participation in the meeting of the G20 foreign ministers, commenting on the information that Blinken will avoid appearing at group photo sessions.
“Yesterday there was a reception hosted by the Indonesians, a welcome reception with a concert, they (the G7 countries) did not come there. This is their understanding of the protocol, and simply courtesy and ethics,” the minister added.
