The National Security Committee of Kazakhstan has seized the largest cocaine shipment in the history of the republic, 13 tons and 183 kilograms of narcotics in Almaty, the Kazakh media reported, citing the press service of the NSC, APA reports.
According to the information, the cocaine shipment was intended for transit through the territory of Kazakhstan to third countries.
It is reported that two foreign nationals suspected of organizing the drug trafficking have been detained, and a pre-trial detention measure has been chosen against them.
