"Moscow cannot say that there has been any progress in the talks between Russia and Ukraine in Istanbul. There is still a long way to go," said  Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said while answering a question on the talks between Russia and Ukraine in Istanbul yesterday, APA's Moscow correspondent reports.

"First, my colleague Medinsky will give a more detailed explanation. He is preparing to inform us about talks today. The second positive factor is that the Ukrainian side has at least started to formulate the list of proposals made by him.  and at least concretely propose what they have proposed, which is a positive factor. As for the rest, we can't say that there is any progress, there is still a lot of work to be done, "said a Kremlin spokesman.

Explaining why the talks in Istanbul lasted one day instead of two, Peskov said the talks took place and ended, and the delegations went to their centers to agree and harmonize their positions.
