Russia will respond to Poland if the latter decides to proceed with expelling 40 of Moscow's diplomats, Kremlin Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov stated on Wednesday, APA' Moscow correspondent reports.
His statement came following the report Poland is planning to oust 40 Russian diplomats in that country over the activities it determined were acts of "espionage." Earlier this month, Warsaw called on the rest of the European Union to impose a complete ban on trade with Russia over Moscow's military operation in Ukraine.
Peskov also dismissed what he described as Kyiv's claims about Russia's crimes in Ukraine and accused the other side of using civilians as "human shields." He went on to condemn the United States over what he labeled as pressure on other countries to form a united opposition against Moscow.
