Today Russian and Turkish Presidents Vladimir Putin and Recep Tayyip Erdogan had a telephone conversation, APA's Moscow correspondent reports citing Kremlin's press service.
During the telephone conversation, Putin thanked his Turkish counterpart for his assistance in holding Russian-Ukrainian talks in Istanbul on March 29.
The leaders gave a principled assessment of the negotiation process on Ukraine.
While discussing humanitarian issues, Erdogan thanked Turkey for its assistance in evacuating Turkish citizens and merchant ships from the war zone in Ukraine.
The leaders also touched upon to development of bilateral cooperation.
The Turkish and Russian presidents also agreed on future contacts.
