Moscow regrets statements by Moldova’s President Maia Sandu on the need to find a solution for the withdrawal of Russian forces from the Transnistrian region, APA’s Moscow correspondent reports.
Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov said that such a position can only be regretted.
Note that after winning the parliamentary elections in Moldova, Sandu announced her intention to reintegrate Transnistria into the Republic of Moldova on Chisinau’s terms. The Moldovan President believes that for this to happen, the Russian military must leave the region.
