The meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President's special representative Steve Witkoff will begin in about five hours, said Kremlin official spokesman Dmitry Peskov, APA's Moscow correspondent reports.
According to him, Vladimir Putin and Steve Witkoff will discuss the understandings reached between Washington and Kyiv regarding the agreement.
Peskov called the meeting an important step towards a peaceful resolution of the Ukrainian conflict and stressed that Russia is always open to negotiations, but the special military operation must achieve its goals.
