The Kremlin has been actively monitoring news coming from Geneva over the past few days, but prefers to rely on official information regarding the U.S. plan for resolving the Ukraine conflict, said Russian President’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov, APA’s Moscow bureau reports.
He noted that Russia will wait for the outcome of the Geneva consultations between the U.S. and Ukraine.
Peskov emphasized that it is unclear how reliable it is that Ukraine’s accession to NATO will depend on consensus among the allied countries: “This is a very responsible and complex process to rely solely on media reports.”
The Kremlin spokesperson said that he is unaware of a possible visit of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to Washington on Thanksgiving.
