A phone conversation was held between Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu and Foreign Minister of Ukraine Andriy Sibiga, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan published, APA reports, citing KazTAG.
The telephone conversation took place at the initiative of the Ukrainian side.
During the conversation, the ministers reviewed the current state and prospects of cooperation in both bilateral and multilateral formats, confirming mutual interest in its further development in a number of areas.
Murat Nurtleu noted the importance of continuing diplomatic efforts to achieve lasting peace on the basis of international law. He added that this will contribute to strengthening regional stability.
It should be noted that two days ago, news spread that Kazakh Foreign Minister Murat Nurtleu and businessman Haji Hajiyev were detained. However, it was later announced that the information about their detention was not true.
