Kazakhstan’s Foreign Minister Murat Nurtleu and businessman Haji Hajiyev have been detained, APA reports citing Orda.
Several high-ranking officials from Kazakhstan’s National Security Committee were also taken into custody, according to law enforcement sources.
Nurtleu was detained at his home after returning from the SCO summit in China, and investigators conducted searches at both his and Hajiyev’s residences.
