The lower house of the Kazakh parliament approved the resignation of the deputy of the eldest daughter of the ex-president of the republic, Dariga Nazarbayeva. The process was broadcast live, APA reports citing Scooptrade.
The daughter of former Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev said on February 25 that she intended to “focus on social, humanitarian, cultural and charitable activities.” Today, such a decision of the politician was approved at a plenary session of the lower house of parliament.
In January, two sons-in-law of Nazarbayev were fired from senior positions in national companies. Earlier, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev introduced amendments that canceled the life-long chairmanship of the first head of state in the Security Council and the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan.
