In Moscow, video surveillance system used to search for conscripts

In Moscow, the city’s video surveillance system is used to determine the place of residence of conscripts, military commissar of Moscow, colonel Maksym Loktev said, APA reports citing TASS.

According to Maksym Loktev, the main reason for the non-appearance of Russians at military commissariats is their residence outside the place of registration. And because of this, they say, they fail to serve summonses.

In addition, Loktev claims that “great attention is paid” to the issue of conscription with the support of the mayor of the capital of the Russian Federation Sergey Sobyanin and the head office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Moscow.

“On the instructions of the mayor of Moscow, the organizations in which the conscripts work provide information about them to the military commissariats. Educational organizations help us determine where the recruit is studying”– declared the military officer of the Russian capital.

He says that with such information about a person, it “will not be difficult” to notify him of his appearance at the military commissariat.
