"I hope the Ukrainian side will see the seriousness of the situation and its responsibility, will understand that it should demonstrate an independent approach and its ability to negotiate in order to avoid the recurrence of the situation with the Minsk agreements," Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Tuesday in a video address to the United Nations Human Rights Council session, APA reports citing TASS.
"As you know, talks between Russia representatives and Kyiv’s delegation have begun at [Ukrainian President Vladimir] Zelensky’s request. I hope the Ukrainian side will see the seriousness of the situation and its responsibility, will understand that it should demonstrate an independent approach and its ability to negotiate in order to avoid the recurrence of the situation with the Minsk agreements," he said.
