"The situation in the Ukrainian city of Kharkov remains tense," said Honorary Consul of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Kharkov Afgan Salmanov, APA reports.
The Honorary Consul said that the consulate continues to operate 24 hours a day: "There were requests for evacuation from citizens temporarily stationed in Kharkov. We investigated these appeals and asked the regional administration to send them to different cities with free tickets. We have achieved this. In a few days, we sent more than 650 of our compatriots by train to Lviv. Many Azerbaijani citizens still remain in Kharkov. We advise them not to leave their places of residence, to use the basements, taking into account the conditions of war, and not to go out into the streets. As soon as the situation softens, we will help them and try to take the necessary steps for them to go to Azerbaijan. "
