Heavy rainfall has hit Russia's Sakhalin region, APA reports.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations has evacuated 37 people, including two children, from the flooded area. 69 houses have been submerged.
In the Nevelsk district, pedestrian paths, wooden platforms, bus stops, as well as water and electricity supply systems have been destroyed.
Due to severe flooding, a bus full of passengers veered off the road and overturned onto its rear. Footage of the flooded road and the overturned bus has been shared on social media.
After blockages in the Kazachka River were cleared, the water level dropped by 0.8–1 meter.
