Georgian President Mikhail Kavelashvili has addressed an open letter to US President Donald Trump, expressing his hope that Georgia-US relations will be "restarted", APA reports, citing Georgian media.
The report says that in his letter, Kavelashvili called on Trump to pay more attention to Georgia and stressed the importance of restoring the strategic partnership between the two countries.
"I would like to remind you that this strategic partnership was canceled by President Biden's administration a few weeks before your inauguration after he was elected US President. This step was part of his unfair, rude and aggressive policy towards many sovereign states. In this context, it is regrettable to note that your administration does not pay enough attention to Georgia," Kavelashvili stressed.
