No one can oppress Georgia, including the European Union, said Speaker of the Georgian Parliament Shalva Papuashvili, APA reports.
“The most irritating thing for the Georgian people, based on their historical experience, is that they are looked down upon,” — Papuashvili noted.
According to him, both the EU ambassador and other embassies, organizations and politicians should refuse to look down upon the Georgian people.
“European countries do not need to teach us a lesson in democracy, because Georgia is ahead of them in all ratings in various areas and we do not need to be taught the rule of law. Therefore, they should act in accordance with the laws of the Georgian people,” Papuashvili emphasized.
