Kremlin Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov stated on Friday that Gazprom will in the coming days determine all the aspects related to the transition to selling Russian gas in rubles, APA reports citing Tele Trader.
Commenting on EU officials' statements that paying for Russian gas in rubles is not a possibility, Peskov said: "There is an instruction to Gazprom from the President of the Russian Federation to accept payment in rubles. The company will have to make contacts, develop a clear and transparent system, how it can be done technically and logistically."
Asked whether the decision applies to liquified natural gas, Peskov noted: "The President did not differentiate pipeline and LNG in any way."
