The Federal Security Service (FSB) of Russia has prevented the assassination of a high-ranking officer of the Ministry of Defence in Crimea, APA reports, citing the FSB.
The organizer was an officer of Ukrainian military intelligence.
The report says that a Ukrainian soldier assigned by the Main Intelligence Directorate (MID) of the Ukrainian army was supposed to place an explosive device in the Russian officer's car.
It is reported that the individual was neutralized, and one of the participants in the crime was detained.
