Former Armenian President Robert Kocharyan has the status of a witness in the trial of former President Serzh Sargsyan, said prosecutor Gorik Ovakimyan at the court hearing, APA reports.
According to the prosecutor, this is related to the criminal case regarding the privatization of land plots near the military pantheon "Yerablur".
He recalled that in 2005, Kocharyan was the president, and Sargsyan was the minister of defense, and these lands were on the balance sheet of the Ministry of Defense.
The prosecutor also said that the current ambassador to Russia, Gurgen Arsenyan, should be called to court as a witness.
"He also has a hand in this case, as well as Sargsyan's former chief of security, Vachagan Kazaryan," the prosecutor emphasized.
