Former Defense Minister of Armenia David Tonoyan has applied again to gain access to the report of the parliament’s commission on the 44-day war, APA reports, citing Armenian media.

In the released statement, Tonoyan recalled that he had previously sent similar requests to the Speaker of the Armenian Parliament on July 15 and October 28. Nevertheless, on November 13, the parliamentary administration informed him that the report “does not have legal status” and, according to the Parliament’s Statute, the request could not be granted.

The commission was established in February 2022 on the initiative of the ruling “Civil Contract” faction. Within the framework of its work process, officials responsible for the country’s defense and foreign policy, both before and during the 2020 war, including Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and the former Defense Minister David Tonoyan, who was brought from prison, were heard.
