An internal investigation has been launched in connection with the incident involving Swiss national Sandro Schmid, who gained unhindered access to combat positions in Armenia, APA reports, citing Armenian media.
During a recent motorcycle trip across Armenia, Swiss citizen Sandro Schmid reached one of the combat positions without any obstacles and encountered Armenian servicemen there.
A video posted by the Swiss national on social media shows that instead of detaining the individual who had illegally entered a restricted area, the servicemen engaged in a friendly conversation with him.
The Ministry of Defense is currently investigating all the details of the incident.
