I repeat, the agreement is as follows: Armenia and Azerbaijan open their transport infrastructure, all infrastructure, to each other, said Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan at a joint press conference with OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Finnish Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen in Yerevan, APA reports.
According to him, the railway section passing through southern Armenia will be called "TRIPP". The Minister noted that the "TRIPP" route has a number of principles: "These principles are well known, but I repeat: territorial integrity, inviolability of borders, sovereignty, jurisdiction over infrastructure on the territories of countries and reciprocity. I emphasize once again that this concerns the opening of all communications, including "TRIPP".
The Foreign Minister noted that the technical details of the Armenian part of TRIPP should be agreed upon by Armenia and the United States: “After August 8, we and the United States have already been making efforts, and this is our daily work. When everything is agreed upon, we will publish these conditions. An Armenian-American joint venture will be created for the construction and operation of this railway.
Let me emphasize once again: what has been agreed upon so far has been published, and you can read about it in the Washington Declaration. The rest will be discussed and clarified by the United States and us.”
