At the monument erected in memory of the Armenian and Russian border guards who served on the borders of the republic, in the Victory Park in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia, the flag of Russia was torn and the coat of arms was broken, APA reports citing Sputnik Armenia.
According to the information, the capital's mayor's office said that they are not responsible for what happened and that the information should be clarified with the owners of the territory.
The city administration said that it will clarify the incident.
According to "Iravunk" newspaper, a group of Russophobes tore the national flag of the Russian Federation. However, the identity of the perpetrators is still unknown and no one is responsible for what happened. The newspaper also noted that this is not the first case of insult of the monument.
