Russia has introduced a temporary ban on the export of technical sulfur, which is used in the production of mineral fertilizers, APA reports, citing IZVESTIYA.
"The decision will help to stabilize shipments of raw materials to the domestic market in order to maintain the current production volumes of mineral fertilizers and ensure the country's food security," the government noted.
Liquid, granular, and lump sulfur are subject to the restriction. The decree will be valid until December 31, 2025. The ban does not apply to the supply of raw materials to the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union, Abkhazia and South Ossetia, as well as humanitarian supplies and international transit.
