Bishkek Mayor Aibek Junushaliev has signed the order declaring the emergency situation in Bishkek according to resolution on classification of emergencies and criteria of their assessment, APA reports citing AKIPress.
The emergency operative response team held a field meeting in the School #62 in Bishkek, which roof was blown off as a result of the windstorm. The speed of wind gusts reached 24-28 meters a second.
According to this resolution, the emergency situation is declared in case wind gusts exceed 25 meters per second.
The mobile groups of workers of district administrations, municipal inspectorates and utilities services were set up. They will study the territory in the capital and evaluate the consequences of the windstorm and dangerous sites - overhanging fragments of roof, air conditioners, large branches, etc.
All city services went into enhanced mode of service.
The Bishkek Mayor required to tidy up the city until the morning.
The commission of the Bishkek Mayor's Office will investigate facts of poor installation of roofs of social facilities by contractors.
