The large oil refining complex "Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat" in Bashkortostan was hit by a drone strike, RBK reported, citing regional head Radiy Khabirov, APA reports.
The attack sparked a fire at the facility, and emergency services are actively working to extinguish it. “All operational teams are on site, taking measures to control the fire. We are assessing the extent of the damage,” Khabirov said.
This marks the second attack on the facility, the first having occurred on September 18, 2025.
“Gazprom Neft Khimya Salavat” is one of the leading enterprises in the Gazprom group, specializing in oil refining, petrochemicals, and mineral fertilizer production. Its structure includes an oil refinery, a gas-chemical plant, and the “Monomer” plant.
